So on Friday a couple of us from Manchester headed down for some meetings. In the evening were treated to the launch night of the London branch of Brainwash’s new Ideastap Anthology competition winning magazine “Long Live the New Flesh”, teaming up with Pulse Films and The Reel.
Although we couldn’t stay long as we had to shoot back up North, it was great to see familiar faces and to enjoy, if rather fleetingly, the amazing rooftop terrace and catch up with friends.
You can read the magazine in full HERE. I fully recommend you do. It’s a zinger.
My website is nearly ready to go live! Blitzed in one night thanks to the help of my friend’s fella, the rather fabulous Paul Sellars. This means I get to use my blog for various things now. I shall celebrate with this - a gem from Boogie Nights. x
Earlier this week the Zebra and Snakeboys sat down with Channel 4’s “Freshly Squeezed” to chat about their music and their forthcoming album. Also shown were several clips from the music video I directed for their previous single “Sweetest Treasure”. Watch the interview here!
I had been holding out on some ideas, waiting for the right band to come along that would work well with them. Then the bassist Anna Donnigan approached me to discuss PINS forthcoming single “Eleventh Hour”. We spoke about what they wanted and I realised this was the chance. Working with them was a dream. The single went on sale this morning on Limited Edition Gold Cassette Tapeand digital download. They’ve since sold out, but they look amazing so you should have a look anyway. These guys are brilliant, check them out if you get the chance.
Last week I directed a music video for my friends, a fresh, new Manchester band called PINS. There’s much buzz around this all girl outfit, and rightly so. Their songs are incredible and it was a pleasure to work with them. I even got to play around with some ideas I had been saving for an occasion such as this!
The graded rushes have arrived today. Tonight I begin the edit.
